The masonry process of refractory bricks is divided into dry masonry and wet masonry. Dry masonry refers to the use of no refractory mortar, simple operation, and fast masonry speed. However, dry masonry creates small gaps between refractory bricks, which can easily allow liquid to infiltrate and increase the risk of erosion. Wet masonry requires the use of high-temperature refractory slurry to fill the joints and ensure a tighter bond. Due to the wide variety of hazardous waste types disposed of in the daily production and operation of the "disposal center", including solid, semi-solid, liquid and other main forms, during high-temperature incineration of hazardous waste, smoke, powdery waste, liquid waste, etc. are prone to penetrate into the gaps between the refractory bricks, making the four surfaces of the refractory bricks uniform and susceptible to varying degrees of erosion, which may lead to safety hazards such as partial or complete detachment of the refractory bricks. Therefore, the "disposal center" chooses wet masonry technology for rotary kiln refractory brick masonry, which uses high-temperature refractory slurry to fill the gaps between the refractory bricks, so that the four surfaces of the refractory bricks are tightly bonded and completely isolated from smoke, powder, liquid waste, etc., reducing the probability of erosion. And prolong the service life of refractory bricks.
