Alumina foam ceramic filters are suitable for temperatures not exceeding 1250℃ and are used for the filtration and purification of aluminum and its alloy melts. They can effectively remove solid impurities in the molten metal liquid. The product is available in pore size specifications ranging from 10ppi to 60ppi.
The main functions of this product are as follows:
1. Effectively remove large impurities in the aluminum melt.
Effectively remove fine impurities in the aluminum melt, reducing the number of effective crystal nucleus in the aluminum melt.
This enables the aluminum melt to nucleate and grow under supercooling conditions, shortening the solidification time and refining the microstructure.
3. Reduce the hydrogen content in the aluminum melt, decreasing the amount of bubble growth.
