High alumina lightweight bricks have high porosity, good thermal insulation performance, high temperature resistance, and are suitable for building insulation layers and thermal insulation layers for industrial kilns. They can reduce the weight of the furnace body, shorten the kiln time, reduce heat diffusion, and protect uniform furnace temperature.
The special insulation bricks for blast furnaces are mainly made of high alumina lightweight bricks, with special grade blast furnace materials as the main raw materials, supplemented by appropriate additives, and produced by the lightweight burning method. It is a new type of building material.
The overall requirements for insulation bricks used in blast furnaces are good insulation, durability, and longevity, which requires refractory materials to have:
