1,Description of Silicon Nitride Bonded Silicon Carbide Brick:

The product is made of silicon carbide and silicon nitride as the main raw materials, which are formed by high tonnage brick press and fired in high temperature furnace filled with nitrogen gas.

The product has a hard texture and Mohs hardness of 9. The strength is very high. The strength is almost the same as that at room temperature at 1200℃~1400℃. The maximum working temperature of the product can be over 1650℃.

Compared with silicon carbide products, the product has lower thermal expansion coefficient, higher thermal conductivity, less thermal stress, excellent thermal shock resistance and long service life. The product also has strong creep resistance, corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance and other characteristics.

3,Product application knowledge: silicon nitride combined with silicon carbide products are made of silicon nitride as the bonding phase, silicon powder and silicon carbide particles mixed and then pressed into shape, sintered at 1400 ℃ in nitrogen atmosphere. The products are generally produced by reaction sintering process. During the sintering process, nitriding reaction takes place at the edge of the material first. With the reaction, the densification of the edge of the material increases, and then the eutectic phase in the center of the material increases to complete the sintering. The product has high density, high strength, good thermal shock resistance, high load softening temperature, good thermal conductivity, good oxidation resistance, especially the melting erosion resistance of cryolite, aluminum fluoride, sodium fluoride and calcium fluoride. It is a kind of high temperature structural material with development prospect

The product will not be oxidized below 1200 ℃, and a protective film will be formed at 1200-1600 ℃, which can prevent further oxidation, and will not be infiltrated or corroded by aluminum, lead, tin, silver, brass and other molten metals or alloys. The products are mainly used in blast furnace tuyere.
