Recently, with the continuous improvement of the requirements of glass, semiconductor and high-temperature chemical industries on the longevity and low energy consumption of kilns, fused silica bricks, as the representative of high-performance refractories, are receiving more and more attention.
Fused silica Brick is a kind of advanced refractory that takes high-purity silicon dioxide (SiO ₂ content ≥ 99.3%) as the core raw material, and is rapidly cooled and shaped after melting at above 1760 ℃ by electric melting. According to the industry standard YB/T 4578-2016, this product is divided into three grades based on physical and chemical indicators: FS-97, FS-98, and FS-99.
In terms of performance, fused silica brick has an ultra-low thermal expansion coefficient, and the thermal expansion rate is close to zero, known as "zero expansion silica brick"; Excellent thermal shock resistance, capable of cycling between 1300 ℃ and 20 ℃ air or water for about 35 times without rupture; At the same time, it has strong chemical resistance and is not easily corroded by other common acids except hydrofluoric acid and concentrated phosphoric acid above 300 ℃. In addition, the material has high viscosity and erosion resistance at high temperatures, and its high-temperature strength increases with increasing temperature.
At present, fused silica brick has been widely used in key parts of float glass furnace such as arch and liquid flow hole, as well as semiconductor equipment such as polysilicon ingot casting furnace lining and diffusion furnace insulation layer. In the metallurgical field, it can be used as an immersion nozzle for steel casting operations; In coke oven thermal repair projects, it is widely used for rapid thermal repair of various types of coke ovens due to its advantages of not requiring reserved expansion joints and being able to be directly repaired at high temperatures without stopping the furnace.
