In the coking industry, silica bricks are the core refractory material for building key parts such as the coking chamber and combustion chamber of coke ovens. Among them, high-quality silica bricks (brand GZ-94) for coke ovens are the most widely used representative products.
This product is made of quartzite as raw material, with a SiO ₂ content of ≥ 94%, a high refractoriness of 1690-1710 ℃, and a load softening temperature of not less than 1620 ℃; The apparent porosity is controlled below 22%, with excellent high-temperature volume stability and low creep rate; At the same time, it has strong resistance to acid slag erosion, good thermal shock stability, and can withstand severe temperature fluctuations caused by periodic pushing and coal loading operations of coke ovens for a long time.
Silicon bricks used in coke ovens are mainly built on the walls of the carbonization chamber, combustion chamber, inclined channel area, and furnace top. Their excellent thermal conductivity helps to improve the thermal efficiency of coking, while sufficient structural strength ensures the long-term stability of the furnace body under high temperature and mechanical stress. This product is a key material for ensuring the safe operation of the first generation coke oven (up to 25 years).
