1. Description of steel ladle spinel bricks
Steel ladle spinel bricks are developed and produced to improve the service life of LF refining ladles and meet the purity requirements of clean steel smelting. The main raw materials used include electric fused brown corundum, electric fused white corundum, electric fused spinel, and active magnesium transfer raw materials. The product is corundum based spinel bricks, which do not have a carbon increasing effect on molten steel, are resistant to erosion and erosion, and have the advantages of good high-temperature volume stability.
The product has high purity, does not contain carbon, and will not cause carbon pollution to the molten steel, meeting the requirements for smelting low-carbon steel and clean steel. During the production process of the product, active magnesium raw materials were introduced to form secondary spinel, which generated stable and continuous micro expansion, resulting in better overall consistency of the masonry structure and improved impermeability. The ceramic bonding formed during the sintering process of the product resulted in a better microstructure, lower porosity, improved resistance to erosion and slag corrosion, and effectively increased the number of uses of the ladle.
