2. Product description
Submerged arc furnace carbon brick is made of calcined anthracite, graphite powder and metallurgical coke as the main raw materials, coal asphalt and coal tar as the binder and pressed by high-frequency vibration. The product forms a dense seamless whole at high temperature, which makes it difficult for the alloy to penetrate the furnace bottom, greatly improves the corrosion resistance of the furnace lining and prolongs the service life. It is also called self baking carbon brick. During masonry, it is equipped with anhydrous pressing mud, i.e. carbon mastic, and wetting agent, also known as fine joint paste, and pressed with force. The carbon brick after masonry is graphitized gradually by using the heat in the oven and production process and the reducing conditions in the oven, and finally roasted into a solid, dense and strong carbon whole. The tap hole is built with anhydrous mud blocking, which prolongs the maintenance cycle.
3. Characteristics of submerged arc furnace carbon brick
It is a refractory product specially designed for the lining and bottom of submerged arc furnace. Other refractory products cannot be replaced. After long-term use, the product has the following characteristics
1) The coefficient of thermal expansion is low, and the overall structure is good after masonry
2) Good thermal conductivity, good quench and heat resistance, no crack
3) The most important thing is strong slag resistance, especially strong alkaline slag corrosion resistance
4) Low porosity, high strength and good high temperature resistance
4. Product application
The products are applied to the lining and bottom masonry of various submerged arc furnaces, such as various alloy furnaces, industrial silicon smelting furnaces, smelting pig iron furnaces, yellow phosphorus furnaces, etc. for ferroalloy furnaces that are not afraid of carburization in smelting, carbon bricks can be used as furnace lining masonry
