Zirconia is an acidic refractory material with a melting point of 2650 ℃. Due to its good high-temperature chemical stability, it can be used as a high-temperature lining material for vacuum furnaces, molybdenum wire furnaces, gas furnaces, medium to high frequency electric furnaces, single crystal furnaces, and other high-temperature furnace materials. Used in the metallurgical industry as a sizing nozzle for continuous casting and a separation ring for horizontal continuous casting. Insulation covers and furnace linings can be made in single crystal furnaces.
Zirconia hollow spheres and zirconia fiber products are currently the most advanced insulation and energy-saving lining materials among oxides. Not only can it be used as insulation material on high-temperature furnaces, but it can also be directly used as lining material.
Zirconia high-temperature ceramic products can be made into crucibles for smelting non-ferrous, rare, and precious metals, as well as high-temperature furnace tubes and thermocouple protection tubes. It can also be used to produce solid electrolytes for oxygen determination and temperature measurement of high-temperature liquids such as flues and molten steel, ceramic insulated engines and their components, electrical insulation sheets for magnetic fluid power generation, insulation and ablation materials for jet aircraft, rocket burners, spacecraft front cones, nose cones, etc.
Zirconia high-temperature ceramics can also be used to make wire drawing dies, cutting tools, springs, high-temperature bearings, wear-resistant gaskets, corrosion-resistant pump parts, and grinding media balls.
Zirconia special refractory materials can also be used to make amorphous refractory materials such as heating elements, thermistors, gas sensors, spray coatings, and castables for high-temperature electric furnaces.
