1. Issues to be noted when starting and stopping the kiln
The thermal expansion of the kiln shell can partially compensate for the expansion rate of the kiln bricks, but this occurs under thermal equilibrium conditions. So when igniting the kiln, the kiln operation speed should be slow to slowly increase the temperature of the kiln body, so as to exert the compensating effect of the kiln body. Each factory can customize a suitable heating curve based on its kiln type and refractory material type to ensure the long-term stable operation of refractory materials. In terms of insulation during kiln shutdown without preparing for brick replacement, especially in case of accidents, it is necessary to cool down as soon as possible (including accidents in the cooling machine and preheater system) for maintenance, but the refractory bricks are damaged due to rapid cooling. This is not worth the loss, and we need to fully consider and pay attention to it, so we must conscientiously implement the ignition heating and cold kiln system.
2. Maintain long-term stable operation of the equipment
The long-term stable operation of equipment is the basis for strictly implementing the ignition heating system and kiln shutdown cooling system. If it can operate normally for a long time after each ignition heating, the time and cost spent on ignition heating will become insignificant. But if the equipment is in poor condition and there are several shutdowns every month, it is impossible to strictly implement the ignition heating and cold kiln system. Due to frequent kiln shutdowns, it is inevitable that the bricks will be damaged or destroyed. Therefore, it can be seen that equipment plays a fundamental role in the use of refractory bricks.
