The pyrophyllite bricks used in coke ovens are divided into two types: grid bricks and solid bricks, with grades TR-65 and TR-70, which are two types with silicon dioxide content not less than 65% and not less than 70%. Due to its superior acid resistance and slag erosion resistance compared to clay grid bricks, pyrophyllite grid bricks have replaced clay grid bricks and are widely used in coke oven heat storage chambers. Solid shale bricks have also replaced clay bricks and silica bricks.

2. Product Description

pyrophyllite bricks used in coke ovens, light white in color, have been developed in recent years and are mainly used in coke oven construction due to their superior acid resistance and slag corrosion resistance compared to clay grid bricks and solid bricks. This product has two grades, TR-65 and TR-70, which execute two technical standards and are customized according to user requirements.

The pyrophyllite bricks used in coke ovens, also known as semi silica bricks, are mainly made of high-quality pyrophyllite raw materials, with a small amount of additives added. They are formed by high tonnage brick presses and fired in high-temperature tunnel kilns. The product has an acid resistance of up to 98% and is currently produced into lattice bricks and solid bricks, which are used in the storage chamber and large walls of coke ovens.

3. Main features

1> High durability and superior ability to resist acid residue corrosion.

2> Low porosity and good density improvement.

3) The creep rate at 1050 ℃ is ≤ 1.0%, indicating good creep resistance.
