First, we need to understand some basic knowledge. Tunnel kilns include four parts: kiln body, combustion equipment, ventilation equipment, and kiln conveying equipment. The function of each part and the corresponding requirements for refractory bricks are also different.
1, The kiln body is composed of a kiln wall and a kiln roof, and the functions and requirements of the kiln wall are as follows:
① The kiln wall and roof together separate the kiln passage from the outside world, and the combustion products in the kiln passage exchange heat with the billet. Therefore, the kiln wall must withstand high temperatures and be able to withstand high temperatures.
② The kiln wall should support the kiln roof, bear a certain weight, and the material should have a certain strength.
③ The temperature of the inner wall of the kiln wall is approximately equal to the temperature of the product, while the outer wall is in contact with the atmosphere, so the temperature of the inner wall dissipates through the kiln wall to the outer wall. Therefore, the kiln wall should be insulated to reduce heat loss.
2, The material for the inner wall of the kiln wall is required to withstand high temperatures, and the type of material selected is determined by the temperature at which the product is baked.
① Use refractory clay bricks at temperatures below 1300 ℃.
② Use high alumina bricks at 1300-1400 ℃.
③ Use silica bricks at 1400~1500 ℃.
④ Use magnesium aluminum bricks at 1500-1600 ℃.
⑤ Use corundum bricks above 1800 ℃.
To reduce the heat dissipation of the kiln wall, lightweight insulation materials such as lightweight clay bricks, lightweight silica bricks, diatomaceous earth bricks, etc. are laid in the middle of the inner and outer walls of the kiln wall.
