The Basic Characteristics Of Refractory Bricks Determine That The Refractory Plant Must Innovate In The Process

Jan 12, 2020

For building materials used in high temperature environments, the high temperature material characteristics of refractory bricks are very suitable for use in such environments. This kind of material is mostly used in industrial furnaces, because of the characteristics of modern technology, it has extremely high requirements for the characteristics of refractory bricks. First of all, understand the basic characteristics of refractory bricks.

     (1) Load softening temperature of refractory brick

"Refractoriness" refers to the ability of refractory products to withstand high temperatures without being melted during production and application. Refractory brick hydraulic press can effectively reduce costs and save material loss, especially in terms of yield. It can not only improve the production efficiency of the refractory plant, but also greatly save labor costs. "Room temperature resistance" is one of the main quality indicators for the use of unfired refractory products and amorphous refractories.

    (2) Compressive strength of refractory bricks

The small porosity of the refractory products indicates that the density is good and the quality of the brick is good. One is called "apparent porosity", which refers to the ratio of the volume of the pores (that is, the gasification of the open teeth) to the total volume of the refractory products and the atmosphere. The second is called "high-temperature compressive strength". It is defined as the ultimate compressive stress that can be sustained by a unit cross-sectional area without being damaged under the premise that the refractory product sample is fired to a specified high temperature. Both porosities of refractory materials are expressed as percentages.

There are two concepts of the compressive strength of refractory products. One is called "normal temperature compressive strength", which is defined as the ultimate compressive stress strength in an indoor laboratory according to the unit area that the sample can withstand without being damaged.

     (3) Fire resistance of refractory bricks

Adopting a four-column hydraulic system, the pressure of the bricks is even and the pressure is large. It is more widely used in the refractory industry, especially in the production of large refractories and special refractories. It also plays an important role by changing the mold of the refractory brick press, and The proportion of materials makes it relatively easy to produce a variety of special refractory materials. On the basis of not increasing equipment investment, the refractory brick hydraulic press can achieve multiple functions and multiple functions. The other is called "true porosity", which is the ratio of the volume of all pores (including open and closed pores) to the total volume in the refractory product. "Normal temperature compressive strength" is one of the important indicators for measuring the resistance of general refractory products to the impact and abrasion of materials in the furnace and the washing of liquid slag.
