Method For Calculating The Weight Of High Alumina Bricks

Mar 31, 2025

The formula for calculating the single weight of high alumina bricks is: m=ρ v (mass=volume x density)
High alumina bricks of the same size but different densities have the following individual weights:

Taking a high alumina brick with a density of 2.4 and dimensions of 230 × 114 × 65mm as an example, one piece weighs 4.09 kilograms.
Taking a high alumina brick with a density of 2.5 and dimensions of 230 × 114 × 65mm as an example, one piece weighs 4.26 kilograms.
Taking a high alumina brick with a density of 2.6 and dimensions of 230 × 114 × 65mm as an example, one piece weighs 4.43 kilograms.
Taking a high alumina brick with a density of 2.7 and dimensions of 230 × 114 × 65mm as an example, one piece weighs 4.60 kilograms.

Taking a high alumina brick with a density of 2.8 and dimensions of 230 × 114 × 65mm as an example, one piece weighs 4.77 kilograms.

From the above, it can be seen that the higher the density, the heavier the weight; High alumina bricks of the same density but different sizes also have different individual weights. The main factors affecting the unit weight of high alumina bricks are volume and density. Therefore, in order to know the unit weight of high alumina bricks, we need to know their density and volume, so that we can calculate the weight of a single high alumina brick.
The weight of high alumina bricks can determine the degree of sintering, and the side can also reflect the density of the interior of high alumina bricks. The denser the high alumina brick, the better its resistance to slag erosion. That's also why many customers require the weight of high alumina bricks to meet specified standards when purchasing them.
