Measures To Extend The Service Life Of Refractory Bricks Lining Vertical Kilns

The lifespan of a vertical kiln mainly depends on the service life of the refractory bricks. Therefore, analyzing and studying the damage mechanism of the refractory lining bricks in lime vertical kilns, identifying the causes of damage, and taking corresponding preventive measures can greatly extend the lifespan of lime vertical kilns and reduce production costs.

(1) Ensure the quality of masonry, especially the joints of refractory bricks should meet the design requirements, the mud should be full, and the water cement ratio in the mixing process of refractory mud should meet the requirements. Not only should the fabric be adjusted well, but also the drop between materials during the feeding process should be reduced to avoid a large amount of * * * affecting the kiln's air permeability. Choose kiln lining materials that are suitable for the working conditions of various parts of the kiln. The requirements are: first, pure material; second, high load softening; third, low porosity; and fourth, good thermal shock resistance.

(2) Develop a reasonable calcination system, stabilize process operations, and reduce kiln wall effects. Control the calcination temperature at around 1150 ℃, and the main burner should adjust the temperature in a timely manner according to the changes in temperature of each zone, so that each zone is relatively stable. It is not allowed for the calcination zone to move up and down significantly. Even when the kiln is stopped, it should be activated every 1-2 hours according to the situation.

(3) The judgment of furnace condition shows that during the calcination process, the material level drops evenly, and the depth of material level drop is generally the same at the same ash discharge time. The temperature in each zone is stable, which is a normal sign of furnace condition. If there is a sudden large fluctuation in temperature at a certain point of the belt, or if the material surface does not decrease when exiting the kiln, the ash temperature is too high, or if the air pressure suddenly increases and the air supply does not enter, or if there is an open flame on the top of the furnace, it indicates that the furnace condition is abnormal and needs to be dealt with in a timely manner.

(4) Strictly control the entry of raw limestone into the factory and kiln, and minimize the impact of small particle limestone and * * * entering the kiln on the kiln condition.

(5) Carefully prepare and use the overhaul period to adjust the angle of the material cup on the top of the 1 #, 2 #, and 3 # kiln material distribution equipment reasonably, solve the problem of material segregation and the position of the material distribution baffle to avoid the problem of limestone impact on the kiln lining wear, reduce the rate of temporary shutdown due to equipment failure to * * *, and continuously improve the operation rate.
