The intermediate ladle is a refractory material container used in steelmaking and continuous casting. It first receives the molten steel poured from the ladle, and then distributes it to various crystallizers through the intermediate ladle nozzle. When replacing the ladle in multi furnace continuous casting, the pulling speed is not reduced, creating conditions for multi furnace continuous casting.
Castable materials for metallurgical steelmaking tundish:
1. Permanent lining castable
The permanent lining of the intermediate package usually uses aluminum silicon casting material. According to the usage conditions of the intermediate package, this casting material should have good strength, volume stability, and thermal shock resistance. The refractory casting material produced for the intermediate ladle has a service life of approximately * * * furnaces.
2. Working lining dry material
The alkaline dry material for the intermediate package is composed of sintered magnesia sand, magnesia calcium sand or fused magnesia sand, magnesia calcium sand, medium high temperature sintering agent, and a small amount of low-temperature binder. Magnesium based dry working lining has the advantages of easy construction, high baking thermal efficiency, easy separation of steel slag and permanent lining, fast turnover of intermediate ladle, improved steel quality, and long service life.
