Graphite electrode products are widely used in steelmaking and submerged arc furnace smelting. According to the quality grade, they can be divided into RP, HP, UHP, HP and UHP products, which are relatively common products with good quality and good use effect. The common raw materials are graphite and petroleum coke, which are formed by a large-tonnage extrusion molding machine and are produced by roasting, impregnation, graphitization, machining and other processes. Graphite electrode is a high thermal conductivity product, which transfers heat energy to smelting products to achieve smelting effect. The consumption rate per ton of steel is commonly used to evaluate the use effect of graphite electrode products. The consumption rate of UHP products is generally about 0.5kg/ton of steel, and the consumption rate of HP products is generally about 0.8kg/ton of steel
The technical parameters of graphite electrode products are mainly evaluated by density, resistivity, modulus of elasticity, coefficient of thermal expansion, coefficient of thermal conductivity, etc. High density, low resistivity, and low coefficient of thermal expansion indicate that the better the quality of the product, the better the performance.
