The usage temperature of aluminum silicate fiber products is mainly affected by the main component of refractory fiber materials. Compared with traditional refractory bricks, refractory castables and other materials, refractory fibers have the following advantages.
1. Low heat capacity (less heat absorption, faster heating)
The thermal capacity of furnace lining materials is generally proportional to the weight of the furnace lining. Low thermal capacity means that the furnace absorbs less heat during reciprocating operation, while the heating rate increases. The thermal capacity of ceramic fiber is only 1/10 of that of lightweight heat-resistant lining and lightweight refractory bricks, greatly reducing energy consumption in furnace temperature operation control, especially for intermittent operation heating furnaces, which has a very significant energy-saving effect.
2. Low thermal conductivity (less heat loss)
At an average temperature of 200 ℃, the thermal conductivity of ceramic fiber materials is less than 0.06W/mk, and at an average temperature of 400 ℃, it is less than 0.10 W/mk, which is about 1/8 of that of lightweight heat-resistant amorphous materials and about 1/10 of that of lightweight bricks. Compared with heavy refractory materials, the thermal conductivity of ceramic fiber materials can be ignored. So the insulation effect of refractory fiber materials is very significant.
3. Lightweight (reduces furnace load, extends furnace life)
Refractory fiber is a fibrous refractory material, and the most commonly used refractory fiber blanket has a bulk density of 96-128 Kg/m3. The volume density of refractory fiber modules folded from fiber blankets is between 200-240 Kg/m3, and their weight is 1/5-1/10 of lightweight refractory bricks or amorphous materials, and 1/15-1/20 of heavy refractory materials. It can be seen that refractory fiber lining materials can achieve lightweight and high-efficiency heating furnaces, reduce furnace load, and extend furnace life.
These three major characteristics are its most significant performance advantages.
