Polycrystalline mullite fibers are produced by chemical colloid method and are technology intensive products. It has the characteristics of high thermal resistance and low heat capacity, which can reduce heat loss by 30%. It is used in steel rolling heating furnaces with frequent changes in steel varieties and specifications, and its comprehensive energy saving can reach 5-6%. When used in intermittent electric heating furnaces, its energy-saving effect is more obvious, with an energy-saving rate of about 30%.
