What steps are required for building thermal storage bricks?

Jun 09, 2023

1. Carefully clean the dust and debris on the inner wall of the kiln shell;

2. The inside of the kiln shell should be flat and free from unevenness;

3. The mortar joint between the thermal storage brick and the thermal storage brick should be controlled within 1.5mm~2mm;

4. The application of adhesive should be uniform and full, without any lack of slurry. Evenly apply the adhesive and rub it with masonry to allow for a slight extrusion of the adhesive;

5. The masonry of the kiln lining should be flat and free from staggered platforms. Efforts should be made to avoid common problems such as misalignment, tilting, uneven mortar joints, misalignment, double joints, through joints, opening, void, rough joints, serpentine bends, masonry bulging, and mixing;

6. The expansion joints in the thermal storage brick lining must be reserved according to the design and must not be omitted;

7. The lining of important and complex parts should be pre laid first;

8. The locking seam should be firm. When processing refractory bricks, a brick cutting machine should be used for fine processing of the bricks, and manual processing of the bricks is not allowed; The sealing bricks inside the rotary kiln and under the supporting brick board should not be less than 70% of the original bricks; In flat joint bricks and curved bricks, it shall not be less than half of the original bricks. The opening must be locked with original bricks. The processing surface of bricks should not face towards the inner side of the furnace.

9. The refractory materials of thermal storage bricks must be stored in a dry warehouse.

There are various types of refractory raw materials for thermal storage bricks, and there are also various classification methods. According to the generation method of raw materials, they can be divided into two categories: raw materials and artificially synthesized raw materials. Mineral raw materials are still the main body of refractory raw materials. The various minerals present in nature are composed of the various elements that make up these minerals. It has been proven that the total amount of oxygen, silicon, and aluminum accounts for about 90% of the total elements in the earth's crust. Oxides, silicates, and aluminosilicate minerals have obvious advantages and are highly abundant refractory raw materials
