Description of Alumina Carbon Plug Rod
Alumina carbon plug rod is an important functional refractory product in continuous casting technology, consisting of a rod body and a rod head. The rod body is mainly made of corundum and graphite as raw materials, and the rod head is mainly made of silicon carbide, fused magnesia and zircon sand as raw materials. To achieve the functions of anti-oxidation, resistance to molten steel erosion and corrosion of plug products. The alumina carbon plug rod is formed by isostatic pressing, dried, and fired in a non oxidizing atmosphere.
Alumina carbon plug rod has the characteristics of resistance to steel erosion, resistance to steel corrosion, and purification of steel. The main function is to open and close the intermediate ladle, and control the flow rate of molten steel from the intermediate ladle to the crystallizer. It is also possible to blow argon or other inert gases into the intermediate package through the argon blowing hole of the plug.
The surface of the stopper is coated with anti oxidation material. Below 1000 ℃, a continuous bright glaze layer is formed on the surface, with strong adhesion and improved antioxidant capacity.
