There is a big difference between refractory brick and insulation brick, their use environment, scope and function are not the same. Different materials will be used in different positions. When purchasing materials, it is suggested to determine the suitable refractory materials according to the actual situation of the enterprise
1、 What are insulation brick and refractory brick?
The main function of insulating brick is to keep heat and reduce the loss of heat. Insulating brick generally does not directly contact the flame, while refractory brick generally directly contacts the flame.
Refractory brick is mainly used to withstand the flame baking, generally divided into two kinds, namely unshaped refractory and shaped refractory. Unshaped refractory, also known as castable, is a mixture of a variety of aggregates or aggregates and one or more binders. When it is used, it must be mixed with one or more kinds of liquid evenly and has strong fluidity. The shape of shaped refractory is standard and regular. It can also be processed temporarily when building and cutting according to the need.
2、 What are the main differences between insulating brick and refractory brick?
Refractory brick: high mechanical strength, long service life, good chemical stability, no chemical reaction with materials and good high temperature resistance, the maximum heat resistance temperature can reach 1900 ℃. It is especially suitable for high and low temperature shift converter, reformer, hydrogenation converter, desulfurization tank and methanation furnace in chemical fertilizer plant. It can disperse gas and liquid and support, cover and protect catalyst. It can also be used in hot blast stove and heating transformation equipment of iron and steel industry.
Thermal insulation brick: a new type of building energy-saving thermal insulation technology based on inorganic composite materials, is an ideal technology to replace the traditional external thermal insulation wall. When building the wall, the insulation brick will integrate the excellent insulation effect into the wall.
