Thermal insulation materials are widely used in various high-temperature applications, including powder metallurgy belt sintering machine industry, heat treatment furnace, aluminum electrolytic cell, ceramics, refractory materials, building materials firing kiln, various petrochemical industry electric furnaces, etc. At present, there are lightweight insulation materials such as silica, clay, high alumina, and corundum, which are suitable for various industrial furnaces. Depending on the different requirements of the working environment and the temperature level of the furnace, the selection of materials of different types and thicknesses is not only for the insulation layer of high-temperature furnaces, but also for the direct contact flame of the lining.
For example, alumina hollow sphere bricks are mainly used as high-temperature industrial kiln linings below 1800 ℃, such as high-temperature lining bricks for refractory materials, electronics, and ceramic industries; The insulation layer of high and medium temperature processing equipment can greatly reduce the weight of the furnace, accelerate the simplified rate structure of the furnace, reduce environmental temperature, save fuel consumption, and improve productivity. Therefore, insulation materials cannot be used in direct contact with liquid slag and metal parts; Secondly, it has low mechanical strength and poor wear resistance, making it unsuitable for load-bearing structures, and it is not a severely worn component.
Due to the above drawbacks, thermal insulation refractory materials are usually not used in engineering for contact with the charging furnace, and the slag has a part of it. The flow rate of the hot air flow and the large mechanical vibration of the large movable parts are used in multi lined furnaces or insulation layers. The application of insulation materials requires the structure of the furnace to have digging characteristics, working conditions, living needs, and the purpose and requirements of rational utilization and energy conservation.
