Zirconia Refractory Brick

Zirconia brick is a high-grade refractory product made primarily from high-purity fused zirconia as the raw material, with additives, through high-pressure forming and high-temperature sintering. The product offers high-temperature resistance, excellent resistance to acid and alkali corrosion, and superior thermal shock resistance. It is divided into two types: Y2O3-stabilized products and CaO-stabilized products. The service temperature is 2200°C.

2. Product Description

The product is divided into two types: Y₂O₃-stabilized and CaO-stabilized. It is sintered at 1800°C after mixing high-purity raw materials and high-pressure forming. The brick exhibits excellent chemical stability, low volatility, superior thermal shock resistance, and resistance to acid and alkali corrosion. Even when heated to 1900°C, it does not react with molten metals such as aluminum, iron, nickel, and platinum, nor with silicates and acidic slags. It is widely used as lining material in intermediate-frequency high-temperature furnaces, molybdenum wire furnaces, tungsten rod furnaces, carbon black reaction furnaces, and other applications.

The maximum service temperature of zirconia brick reaches 2200°C. It features a high refractoriness-under-load temperature, low creep rate at high temperatures, strong resistance to corrosive melts, and high chemical inertness to glass melts, enabling long-term resistance to erosion. With low thermal conductivity (only 2.09 W/m·K at 1000°C), it reduces thermal stress caused by rapid temperature changes. It also offers high strength and good wear resistance.

3. Main Features

4. Main Applications

Widely used as lining material in molybdenum wire furnaces, tungsten rod furnaces, glass furnaces, high-temperature intermediate-frequency furnaces, and carbon black reaction furnaces.
