There are three reasons for the loss of cement kilns:
1, Mechanical damage
It is subjected to a comprehensive mechanical stress of compression, tension, torsion, and shear. The rotation of the kiln, the ellipticity of the cylinder, the compression and twisting between the lining bricks and the cylinder, and the deformation of the kiln cylinder will all generate mechanical stress between the brick linings. When the gap between the cylinder and the belt is large, the ellipticity of the kiln cylinder increases, the lining bricks are subjected to alternating stress, and the mechanical stress on the belt is severe.
2, Quick cold, quick hot
A large number of literature points out that the alkaline expansion coefficient is high, which generates huge thermal stress during the heating process. Therefore, the heating should be slow during kiln drying to compensate for the expansion of the kiln body and supplement the expansion of the bricks. This is the key to using alkaline refractory bricks. But in actual production, it is difficult to accept a drying time of 10-20 hours. When problems are found, the high-temperature fan is directly turned on for rapid cooling of the kiln. After cooling, it was found that the magnesia chrome bricks without kiln skin had peeled off and damaged. All 1680 silica refractory bricks had surface peeling, and the surface of the fracture was hard. Some fragments were clearly hanging on the bricks.
3, Changes in raw materials and fuels
Only on a kiln with stable working conditions can a solid kiln skin adhere and be maintained on the brick lining, ensuring the service life of the kiln lining. The stability of the thermal system also requires the stability of the raw materials. Due to the difficulty in coal supply, the ash content of coal varies from 32% to 45%. At first, in order to adapt to high ash coal, the saturation of the raw materials entering the kiln was relatively high, but the ash content changed too frequently, and there was no coal homogenization yard, making it difficult for the raw materials entering the kiln to correspond with the ash content, which greatly affected the condition inside the kiln.
