Ramming material refers to an amorphous refractory material that is constructed by pounding (manually or mechanically) and hardened under heating above room temperature. Made by mixing refractory aggregates, powders, binders, additives, water or other liquids with a certain grading. Classified by material, there are high alumina, clay, magnesium, dolomite, zirconium, and silicon carbide carbon refractory ramming materials.
Application of ramming materials
The ramming material is made of raw materials such as silicon carbide, graphite, and electrically calcined smokeless coal, mixed with various ultrafine powder additives, and bonded with electric melting cement or composite resin to form a loose material. Used to fill the gap between the cooling equipment of the furnace body and the masonry or as filling material for the leveling layer of the masonry. The ramming material has good chemical stability, erosion resistance, wear resistance, peeling resistance, and heat shock resistance. It is widely used in metallurgy, building materials, non-ferrous metal smelting, chemical industry, machinery and other manufacturing industries!
Acidic, neutral, and alkaline ramming materials are widely used in coreless medium frequency furnaces and core induction furnaces. As ramming materials for medium frequency furnaces, they are used to melt gray cast iron, ductile iron, malleable iron, vermicular cast iron, and cast iron alloys, melt carbon steel, alloy steel, high manganese steel, tool steel, heat-resistant steel, stainless steel, melt aluminum and its alloys, melt copper alloys such as purple copper, brass, white copper, and bronze
