Sintered corundum brick means that the content of Al2O3 is more than 90%, and the main crystalline phase is α- Al2O3 refractory bricks. Sintered corundum brick is widely used because of its high temperature resistance, high hardness, high strength, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance and good air tightness.
In the production of sintered corundum brick, mullite clinker should be added to improve its thermal shock stability and slag resistance.
In order to reduce the firing temperature, 1-2% of TiO2 promoter is often added. The product can be fired at 1550-1600 ℃. MgO is added to inhibit the grain growth and obtain the microcrystalline structure, which is beneficial to improve the mechanical strength of the product.
