What are the main materials of lightweight insulation bricks
Lightweight insulation bricks are made of high-quality plate-like corundum and mullite as aggregates, with silicon wire stone composite as the matrix, and special additives and a small amount of rare earth oxide mixed. They are formed under high pressure and fired at high temperature. The materials used in the production of ordinary lightweight insulation refractory bricks include clay, high alumina high-strength floating bead bricks, low iron mullite, high alumina lightweight insulation refractory bricks, and diatomaceous earth insulation refractory bricks.
Product characteristics of lightweight insulation bricks:
Compared with traditional building ceramics, lightweight energy-saving bricks have the unique porous structure, fire resistance, flame retardancy, acid and alkali resistance properties of traditional ceramic products, low density, sound insulation, and thermal insulation. They are a new generation of energy-saving and environmentally friendly revolutionary products that meet decoration needs without increasing floor load, reducing the comprehensive consumption of resources, energy, and social resources by Shaolin building ceramics.
Application of lightweight insulation bricks:
Large blast furnaces, hot blast stoves, etc
Performance of lightweight insulation bricks
1. Lightweight: Lightweight bricks have a dry capacity of only 500-700Kg/m * 3, which is 1/4 of ordinary concrete, 1/3 of clay, and 1/2 of hollow blocks. Due to their lower bulk density than water, they are commonly known as aerated concrete floating on the water surface. Using this product in buildings can reduce the weight of the building and significantly reduce its overall cost.
2. Thermal insulation: Due to the formation of tiny pores inside the manufacturing process of aerated concrete, these pores form an air layer in the material, greatly improving the thermal insulation effect, resulting in a thermal conductivity of 0.11-0.16W/MK for aerated concrete. The insulation effect is 5 times that of clay bricks and 10 times that of ordinary concrete.
3. Sound absorption and insulation: The porous structure of aerated concrete provides excellent sound absorption and insulation performance, which can create highly airtight indoor spaces for you. Provide you with a peaceful and comfortable living environment.
4. Small shrinkage value: Due to the use of high-quality river sand and coal powder as siliceous materials, the shrinkage value is only 0.1-0.5mm/m. Excellent materials with small shrinkage values ensure that your wall will not crack.
5. Impermeability: The pore structure of this product results in poor capillary action, slow water absorption and moisture conductivity. The time required to reach saturation with the same volume of water is 5 times that of clay bricks.
6. Environmental Protection: The manufacturing, transportation, and use processes are pollution-free, protecting farmland, saving energy and reducing consumption, and belong to green and environmentally friendly building materials.
7. Seismic resistance: The use of lightweight bricks in the same building structure increases the seismic resistance level by one level compared to clay bricks.
8. Durability: Aerated concrete has stable long-term strength. After one year of exposure to the atmosphere, the strength increased by 25% and remained stable after ten years.
9. Processability: This product is lightweight and comes in various sizes, making it easy to nail, drill, cut, saw, and carve pipelines. It also uses expansion pipes on walls to directly fix hanging cabinets, air conditioners, range hoods, etc., bringing convenience to your water and electricity installation and home decoration.
10. Fire resistance: The fire resistance is 700 degrees, which is a first-class refractory material. The fire resistance of 100mm thick blocks is 225 minutes, and the fire resistance of 200mm thick blocks is 480 minutes.
