Performance of lightweight high alumina refractory bricks
The light high alumina brick is usually made of high alumina clinker and a small amount of clay. After being ground, it is poured and formed by gas generation method or foam method in the form of slurry, and fired at 1300~1500 ℃. Sometimes industrial alumina can also be used to replace some alumina clinker. Used for lining and insulation of kilns, as well as areas without strong erosion and scouring effects from high-temperature molten materials. When in direct contact with flames, the surface contact temperature shall not exceed 1350 ℃. Lightweight clay bricks and thermal insulation refractory materials refer to refractory materials with high porosity, low bulk density, and low thermal conductivity. Thermal insulation refractory materials, also known as lightweight refractory materials, include thermal insulation refractory products, refractory fibers, and refractory fiber products. The characteristics of thermal insulation refractory materials are high porosity, generally 40% -85%; Low bulk density below 1.5g/cm3; Low thermal conductivity, generally below 1.0W (m.K). It serves as an insulation material for industrial kilns, reducing heat loss, saving energy, and reducing the quality of thermal equipment. Thermal insulation refractory materials have poor mechanical strength, wear resistance, and slag erosion resistance, and are not suitable for the load-bearing structure of kilns and direct contact with slag, furnace materials, molten metals, and other parts.
