Mullite bricks and high alumina lightweight bricks are both insulation bricks, but they differ in physical properties and applications. High alumina lightweight insulation bricks are made from high alumina powder, alumina micro powder, silicon powder, and other micro powders as raw materials, added with organic adhesive powder, mixed and stirred, and then molded into insulation bricks. Mullite insulation bricks are mainly made of mullite, with a general alumina content between 65% and 75%. In addition to mullite, the mineral composition also contains a small amount of glass phase in the lower alumina content, making it a heat-insulating and refractory product.
High alumina lightweight insulation bricks have advantages such as fire resistance, high temperature resistance, lightweight, high strength, and good insulation performance. Its production process is complex, but the commodity brick has a light volume and good insulation performance.
Mullite insulation bricks have high temperature resistance, high strength, low thermal conductivity, and can directly come into contact with flames. Mainly used for thermal insulation of cold and hot media, with good insulation performance.
