Characteristics of high wear-resistant and heat-resistant high alumina brick
1. Fire resistance
High alumina brick products are a variety of alumina silicate refractory materials, and their refractoriness increases with the increase of Al2O3 content, generally not lower than 1750-1790 ℃. Corundum bricks with Al2O3 content greater than 95% can have a refractoriness of up to 1900-2000 ℃.
2. Load softening temperature
The load softening temperature of high alumina brick products decreases with the increase of silicon dioxide and alkali metal oxide content, but is higher than that of clay brick products, about 1420-1530 ℃. Al2O3. Corundum bricks with a content greater than 95% have a load softening temperature of over 1600 ℃.
3. Slag resistance
Due to the neutral and high content of aluminum oxide in high alumina brick products, these materials have the ability to resist the erosion of acidic and alkaline slag.
4. Thermal shock stability
In high alumina brick products, stress concentration occurs due to expansion differences when the temperature of refractory bricks changes. So, the thermal shock stability of high alumina brick products is worse than that of clay brick products, and the water cooling frequency is generally only 3-5 times.
5. Reburning line changes
If the firing temperature of high alumina brick products is sufficient and the firing time is sufficient, the volume will be stable and the variation of the re firing line will be small; On the contrary, residual shrinkage such as that of clay brick products will occur, which is also caused by recrystallization.
High wear-resistant and heat-resistant high alumina bricks are mainly used for lining blast furnaces, hot blast stoves, electric furnace tops, blast furnaces, reverberatory furnaces, and rotary kilns.
