4. The impact of drying system

The temperature and time during the drying process have a significant impact on product quality. Too low a temperature or too short a time can result in residual moisture in the embryo, which can be used in subsequent nitriding processes
The oxidation reaction of silicon powder is induced during the reaction process, thereby reducing the efficiency of nitriding reaction and affecting product quality. The speed of temperature rise can also have an impact on product quality. The rapid increase in temperature is not conducive to controlling the high-temperature environment, as excessively high temperatures can cause cracks on the surface of the embryo.

5. The influence of kiln installation method

The factors that may affect the quality of the kiln before the nitriding process are the gap spacing between the embryos. There should be a certain space between the embryos to provide favorable conditions for the smooth infiltration and filling of ammonia gas, and to avoid the phenomenon of silicon flow caused by excessive kiln loading.

6. The impact of nitriding system

The raw materials of silicon nitride combined with silicon carbide bricks are mixed and molded, and then fired at a high temperature of around 1400 ℃ in a nitriding furnace. The quality and performance of the final product are closely related to the temperature of the nitriding reaction. During the reaction between silicon powder and nitrogen, there are roughly two temperature stages: the heating stage followed by the ammonification reaction stage of the raw materials. The temperature inside the device during the heating stage increases from the initial temperature to around 1100 ℃, while the temperature during the raw material nitriding reaction stage is between 1100 and 1350 ℃
