Cordierite honeycomb ceramics are made from cordierite raw materials, adding binder and loss on ignition, mixing, refining, extruding, drying, and firing at 1280 ~ 1320 ℃. The preparation method includes the following steps: wet grinding clay, talc, alumina and light burned magnesia powder to less than 320 mesh in ball milling, the milled powder becomes mud block after pressure filtration and vacuum mud refining, and the green body is synthesized in the downdraft kiln to be cordierite material; then the synthesized cordierite is finely ground to the required particle size again; The honeycomb ceramics can be produced by extruding cordierite powder with MC or PVA as the main component. It is mainly used in automobile exhaust catalytic purification, industrial kiln dust removal and heat storage, petroleum catalytic cracking and other industries.
