(1) Oven drying is the process of removing free water and crystalline water that cannot be naturally dried from furnace lining materials, while simultaneously curing the casting material at high temperatures to achieve a certain strength. Before baking, the lining material must have a certain natural strength (sufficient curing period) before it can be used.

(2) The principle of oven drying is "long rather than short, slow rather than fast". It should be carried out according to the pre established baking curve, with a uniform and stable heating rate. The constant temperature time and temperature should be controlled well, and the temperature fluctuation should not exceed ± 20 ℃ to prevent rapid heating during the baking process, which may cause the moisture generated in the material layer to be unable to be discharged in a timely manner, resulting in high pressure of stored water vapor and breaking through the wear-resistant and refractory layer, leading to cracks. In addition, the temperature gradient during baking should not be too large to avoid generating huge thermal stress, which may cause cracking, protrusion, and detachment of the wear-resistant and refractory layer.

(3) When the exhaust holes of the outer steel shell of the wear-resistant refractory material layer (such as the return leg and cyclone separator cone) are too few, the external discharge of water and gas in the refractory layer is obstructed during the baking process. The explosion and detachment of the refractory layer due to the internal discharge of water and gas are also important factors that cannot be ignored.
