The high purity chrome brick with Cr2o3 ≥93% produced by high purity chromium green has good alkali resistance, high spalling resistance, high purity, high density and high temperature resistance. It is well applied in glaze furnace and glass fiber furnace.

1)High density, strength > 100MPa, porosity < 18%. Therefore, the product has good wear resistance.

The main component of compact chrome oxide brick is Cr2O3, which is generally more than 90%. The product is difficult to sinter, so it is necessary to introduce sintering additive TiO2 and a small amount of ZrO2, The main reasons for its application in the high erosion area of molten glass are as follows: 1) the solubility of Cr2O3 is very low; 2) the contact angle between Cr2O3 sinter and molten glass is large and the wettability is poor; 3) the viscosity of molten slag is increased in the slag of Cr2O3 dissolving agent, which is called the protective layer of firebrick and effectively reduces the erosion rate.
The addition of TiO2 can promote the sintering of Cr2O3 material. At the same time, TiO2 has good compatibility with alkali free glass, and will not produce stones or bubbles, and will not affect the continuous operation of the tank kiln. Therefore, in the production of Cr2O3 compact products, the addition of TiO2 sintering aids and 3-4% boron are often used to form more titanium chromium compounds. Adding ZrO2 powder can improve the thermal shock resistance. This is based on the difference of thermal expansion coefficient between ZrO2 and Cr2O3 and the principle of phase transformation toughening, which makes the products produce microcracks in the process of heating and cooling, prevents the products from cracking due to thermal stress and mechanical stress, and plays a role of buffering stress. At the same time, the addition of ZrO2 also plays a role in promoting sintering
