1,Description of Fused Quartz Nozzle For Continuous Casting:
Fused quartz nozzle is also called quartz ceramic nozzle, which is produced by ceramic grouting process.The product is one of the most important refractories in iron and steel production. It has high replacement frequency and large consumption. The nozzle conveys molten steel to prevent secondary oxidation and splash of molten steel, adjust the flow state of molten steel and purify the molten steel.
The product uses fused quartz as raw material, adopts slurry casting molding and high-temperature sintering. The nozzle has small thermal conductivity (1000 ℃ 2W / m.k), good thermal stability, low thermal expansion rate (1000 ℃ 0.05-0.06%), and is not easy to nodulate. It can be directly applied without preheating before use. The disadvantage is that it is not suitable to cast steel with manganese content more than 0.5%, because Mn reacts with SiO2 to form low melting substance, which accelerates the melting loss of nozzle products.
