The basic material of zirconia foam ceramic filter is zirconia ZrO2. The heat-resistant temperature of zirconia filter is higher than about 1760 ℃, with very high strength and excellent high-temperature impact force.
Cast steel parts are widely used in areas that require high strength and elongation requirements. Therefore, cast steel parts are very sensitive to defects caused by impurities. The excellent characteristics of zirconia foam ceramic filter can effectively remove impurities that eventually lead to product quality defects. The impurities are mainly composed of non-metallic particles, slag, and refractory fragments, improving the surface quality and mechanical properties of castings, and reducing scrap rate.
The zirconia foam ceramic filter can make the molten steel fill the mold cavity more evenly, and the molten metal has a high turbulence tendency during pouring. After the three-dimensional pore structure turbulence of the zirconia foam ceramic filter is finally converted into a very stable laminar flow. Laminar flow has better filling properties for the mold cavity, thereby reducing the impact corrosion of the metal solution on the casting mold cavity and significantly reducing the scrap rate.
