Why Do Copper Smelting Furnaces Choose To Directly Combine Magnesia Chrome Bricks

Apr 12, 2022

Direct bonding refers to the combination of solid particles in direct contact with products. Direct bonded magnesia chrome brick is produced by this process. It is made by ultra-high temperature sintering with high-purity magnesia and chromium concentrate with low silicon, i.e. SiO2 < 2%.

The directly bonded magnesia chrome brick has less impurities, the glass phase is in the triangular region of the crystalline phase, and the landscape phase is directly combined with the crystalline phase. It has the remarkable characteristics of low porosity, high compressive strength, strong wear resistance, corrosion resistance, thermal shock resistance and spalling resistance.

Directly bonded magnesia chrome brick is widely used in electric arc furnace, steel-making flash furnace, out of furnace refining and cement rotary kiln.
