What Is The Thickness Of The Furnace Bottom For Intermediate Frequency Furnace Charging

Feb 29, 2024

An intermediate frequency furnace is a power supply device that converts 50Hz AC power to intermediate frequency (from 300Hz to 1000Hz), consisting of a frequency conversion device, furnace body, furnace bottom, and furnace front control. The medium frequency furnace charging material is mainly made of fused corundum, high-purity magnesia, and high-purity spinel. The content of binders, anti cracking agents, and stabilizers has been prepared according to needs, and users can directly put them into use.

Before dry knotting the furnace lining, lay a layer of asbestos cloth inside the insulation layer of the furnace coil, and manually level and compact each layer of material during laying.

Knotting the furnace bottom: The thickness of the furnace bottom is about 200mm-280mm, and it is filled with sand in two to three times. When manually tying, uneven density is prevented in various areas, and the furnace lining after baking and sintering is not dense. Therefore, strict control of the feeding thickness is required. Generally, the sand filling thickness should not exceed 100mm per time, and the furnace wall should be controlled within 60mm. Multiple people should work in shifts, with 4-6 people in each shift. Each time, the knot should be tied for 30 minutes, and the person should be replaced. Slowly rotate around the furnace and apply even force to avoid uneven density.

When the bottom of the furnace reaches the required height, scrape it flat and place the crucible mold. In this regard, attention should be paid to ensuring that the crucible mold is concentric with the induction ring, vertically adjusted up and down, and the pattern should be closely combined with the furnace bottom as much as possible. After adjusting the peripheral gap to be equal, three wooden wedges should be used to clamp it tightly, and a heavy object should be lifted in the middle to press it up to avoid displacement of quartz sand when the furnace wall is tied.

Knotting the furnace wall: The thickness of the furnace lining is 90mm-120mm. Dry tying materials are added in batches, and the fabric is evenly distributed. The filler thickness is not more than 60mm. Knotting is done manually for 15 minutes until it is level with the upper edge of the induction ring. After knotting, the crucible mold is not removed, and induction heating is used during drying and sintering. If you want to remove the crucible mold, wrap 2-3 layers of newspaper on the outer wall of the crucible mold with tape before tying the furnace wall. After tying the furnace wall, raise the temperature to 900 degrees Celsius. After the newspaper emits smoke, quickly remove the crucible mold. Use an iron barrel with a height of 10-15 centimeters smaller than the diameter of the crucible mold and a pin that is level with the furnace mouth as an induction heating for drying and sintering.

Attention: (Users are not allowed to add any materials or water during use).
