1,Increase the density of refractories and reduce the porosity of refractories. Refractories have high density and low porosity, which can prevent the penetration of aluminum and its alloys.
2,The corrosion resistance of refractories to aluminum water. The excellent wettability of refractories can prevent the erosion of molten aluminum and the adhesion of molten aluminum and aluminum slag.
3,SiO 2 and impurities in refractories are easy to react with Al and Mg in aluminum industry, and cause volume change of refractories, which makes refractories crack and accelerates corrosion of aluminum water into refractories. Therefore, the higher the aluminum content of refractories, the better the purity, the lower the probability of reaction with aluminum water, and the better the corrosion resistance.
At the same time, additives such as barium salt and chromium salt can also be added to react with molten aluminum to form a protective layer to increase the corrosion resistance of refractories.
4,Wear resistance of refractories. The wear resistance of refractories is mainly to improve its strength, but also to increase the wear resistance and mechanical impact resistance of refractories.
