Having been involved in the refractory brick industry for such a long time, the editor of refractorybrick.com believes that many cement enterprises have encountered the issue of newly laid refractory bricks falling off during the kiln drying process. Let's not talk about the negative impact of extreme cold and heat on the service life of refractory materials. Just from the perspective of problem-solving, it is extremely troublesome and the construction is highly dangerous. Therefore, we need to seek corresponding solutions.
Solution measures
1. Strengthen the maintenance and upkeep of equipment at ordinary times
In response to the insufficient working pressure of the bricklaying machine, it is necessary to strengthen the routine maintenance and upkeep of the equipment. To ensure the effectiveness of the oil-water separator, the water storage tank should be drained frequently. During the construction process, it is important to ensure the normal operation of the air compressor and maintain the pressure of the compressed air within the range of 0.55MPa to 0.65MPa.
2. Instructions for locking bricks
When locking the bricks, it is essential to ensure that the bottom surface of the kiln brick adheres as closely as possible to the inner wall of the kiln. Once one ring is locked, commence laying the next ring. Upon completion of all laying, rotate the kiln in stages and tighten the iron plates. When tightening the iron plates, aim to secure them at locations below the centerline of the rotary kiln, ensuring that the iron plates are present at all four points around the kiln circumference: 90°, 180°, 270°, and 360°. It is prohibited to have two iron plates within the same brick joint.
3. Solve the problem of circumferential seam distortion
Before masonry, a circumferential line shall be set up every 2m inside the kiln cylinder, and the circumferential line shall be parallel to the circumferential weld of each section of the cylinder. When laying the refractory brick bottom, construction must be carried out based on the axial line and the circumferential line. Every 5 rings of bottom laying, a check shall be conducted to measure whether the distances between the circumferential weld and the circumferential line are consistent at each point. The subsequent rings of bricks shall be adjusted according to the distance deviation. It is not allowed to adjust them in one step, but rather gradually. At the same time, the circumferential weld must be controlled within 2mm. During adjustment, the coincidence degree of the axial line must also be ensured.
