Cathode carbon block refers to the carbon block produced with high-quality anthracite, coke and graphite as raw materials. It is used as the cathode of aluminum electrolytic cell and built at the bottom of aluminum electrolytic cell. Cathode carbon block is an important part of aluminum electrolytic cell, which is conducive to improve the production and service life of electrolytic cell. The cathode carbon block plays the dual role of conducting electricity and forming the inner lining of the electrolytic cell. It has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, molten salt corrosion resistance, good conductivity and thermal conductivity, high mechanical strength, good thermal shock resistance and sodium corrosion resistance. According to the quality requirements of products, the selected raw materials and process conditions, they are divided into ordinary type, semi graphite type and graphite type. The resistivity of ordinary type is 50-60 and that of semi graphite is 15-45. According to the application position, it is divided into bottom carbon block and side carbon block.
