Performance Comparison Between General Clay Brick And Low Creep Clay Brick

Apr 29, 2022

General clay brick refers to the most common refractory brick with Al2O3 < 40%. The service temperature is lower than 1200℃, which is widely used and is required by almost all industrial kilns. With the increase of blast furnace hot blast furnace stroke temperature, higher requirements are put forward for clay brick's high temperature resistance, erosion resistance and creep resistance. Therefore, low creep clay brick meets the requirements and replaces the general clay brick. In the production of low creep clay brick, mullite sand or three stone materials with micro expansion under high temperature are added, which improves the load softening temperature and reduces the high-temperature linear shrinkage, so as to reduce the high-temperature creep rate and maintain the tightness of the masonry structure.
