Components of anti stripping high alumina bricks

Anti peeling high alumina brick, also known as anti peeling brick or anti peeling refractory brick. Using high alumina clay clinker as the main raw material, a small amount of ZrO2 (due to the phase transition between monoclinic and tetragonal ZrO2, which can improve the thermal shock stability of refractory bricks) is introduced, and a certain amount of composite binders and additives are added. By controlling the particle size distribution of the clay, the refractory products obtained through molding and high-temperature firing become anti stripping high alumina bricks.

The standard size for anti stripping high alumina bricks is 230 * 114 * 65mm, and other sizes can be customized according to the drawings.

Performance principle of anti peeling high alumina brick

The anti peeling mechanism of anti peeling high alumina bricks is determined by the microstructure characteristics of ZrO2 introduced, which determines their anti peeling performance.

(1) There are obvious microcracks around the ZrO2 aggregate, and there are obvious gaps and peeling between the aggregate and the surrounding corundum and mullite.

(2) The well-developed ZrO2 aggregates are columnar in shape and form a layered distribution in space. There are small slits between ZrO2, with a size of only 1-5 μ m, forming a channel structure. This structure is characterized by disorderly layering and twists and turns, which is conducive to stress transmission and dispersion.

(3) Mullite is well developed and fibrous, existing in spatial interlocking with ZrO2 and corundum, forming a composite reinforcement structure. Obviously, when ZrSiO4 decomposes at high temperatures, it reacts with the surrounding Al2O3 to form ZrO2 and mullite. The presence of ZrO2 crystals prevents the growth of fibrous mullite crystals and plate-like corundum, and they are enveloped by them, resulting in a disordered layer state around ZrO2.

(4) Petrographic analysis shows the interweaving of corundum and mullite structures, with ZrO2 interspersed and microcracks present in the surrounding area. Larger ZrO2 crystals themselves and their surroundings exhibit radial microcracks.

Advantages and characteristics of anti peeling high alumina bricks

(1) High refractory temperature.

(2) The softening temperature under a 0.2MPA load is greater than 1500 degrees.

(3) Excellent thermal shock resistance, with over 25 water cooling cycles at 1100 degrees Celsius.

(4) High compressive strength at room temperature, greater than 60MPA.

(5) Low apparent porosity and stable volume at high temperatures.

(6) Excellent anti peeling performance.

(7) Good resistance to chemical erosion.

The use of anti stripping high alumina bricks

Anti peeling high alumina bricks are widely used in China's new dry process kilns, Liboer kilns, and wet process kilns. The parts used include kiln door covers, rising flues, cooling belts, decomposition belts, safety belts, transition belts, coolant rear and side walls, and beam bent roofs.
