The intermediate frequency furnace is mainly used for steelmaking and ironmaking. The charging materials of the intermediate frequency furnace are also called the lining materials of the intermediate frequency furnace, which are divided into acid, neutral and alkaline charging materials. The acid charging materials are made of high-purity quartz and fused silica as the main raw materials, and appropriate additives are used as the sintering agent; Neutral firing materials are mainly made of fused corundum, high-purity magnesia, and high-purity spinel, with composite additives as sintering agents; Alkaline blast furnace material is mainly made of high-purity magnesium sand as the main raw material, with appropriate additives as sintering agents.
When using the intermediate frequency furnace, it is necessary to start the furnace. Material inspection and preparation for the intermediate frequency furnace:
1. Materials used for heating: crucibles, refractory asbestos cloth, dry lining materials, glass water, breathable bricks, etc;
2. Prepare crucibles and other materials according to the dimensions and quantities in Appendix Tables 1 and 2 for different furnace types;
3. The ellipticity of the crucible should meet the requirements of Appendix Table 1, and there should be no large protrusions on the outer surface. It should have a large number of ventilation holes. The crucible should be used after cleaning the rust on the outer surface;
4. The packaging of dry materials must not be damaged or damp before use;
5. Check for the presence of small iron blocks and other magnetic substances, as well as a large amount of impurities in the dry material; If there is any, the guide should report the situation in a timely manner and use it or not after processing. It is strictly prohibited to bring magnetic substances and a large amount of inclusions into the furnace lining material;
6. Before installing the breathable brick, check whether it is breathable and whether there are any safety factors that may affect its use, such as damage. The breathable brick must be intact and defect free, and the breathable pipe should be made of stainless steel.
