For new hot blast furnaces, it is generally recommended to choose high alumina bricks with higher alumina content. High alumina bricks usually have an aluminum content between 48% and 80%, which can provide good fire resistance and corrosion resistance.
The specific selection of suitable aluminum content depends on the working temperature and chemical environment of the hot air stove. Here are some general guiding principles:
Third level high aluminum bricks with low aluminum content (48% to 60%): suitable for hot blast furnaces with lower working temperatures, not exceeding 1300 degrees Celsius. This type of refractory brick has high thermal shock resistance and good mechanical strength.
Aluminum content of secondary high alumina bricks (65% to 70%): suitable for hot blast furnaces operating at temperatures between 1300 ° C and 1500 ° C. This type of refractory brick has good thermal shock resistance and high corrosion resistance.
Aluminum content of first-class high alumina bricks (75% to 80%): suitable for high-temperature hot blast furnaces, operating temperatures exceeding 1500 degrees Celsius. This type of refractory brick has high heat resistance and corrosion resistance.
It should be noted that the price of high alumina bricks is relatively high, and the selection should take into account both economy and actual demand. In addition, it is recommended to consult professional refractory material suppliers or consulting engineers to conduct technical evaluations based on specific hot blast furnace parameters and working conditions to ensure the selection of suitable refractory bricks.
Zhengzhou Sijihuo Refractory Co., Ltd. is located in Xinmi and produces special-shaped high alumina bricks, special high alumina bricks, and first, second, and third level high alumina bricks.
