Baking Time And Material Ratio Of Molten Iron Ladle Castable

Adding silica fume to the molten iron ladle castable can improve fluidity, reduce water consumption, and significantly increase the strength of the castable. Under certain conditions, it can make the performance of the castable comparable to that of fired products of the same material.
Material ratio of molten iron ladle pouring material:
1. Add aggregates, then add silica fume and cement for dry mixing, and then add water and other admixtures.
2. Add 75% coarse aggregate, 50% water silica fume, and 50% fine aggregate to the iron ladle casting material, mix for 15-30 seconds, then add cement admixture, 50% fine aggregate, and 25% water, and mix until uniform. The mixing time is extended by 20-25% or 50-60 seconds compared to ordinary concrete. Do not add silicon powder to the mixed concrete.
Baking time of molten iron ladle pouring material:
Low fire stage (Greenhouse 150)>24 hours
Medium fire stage (150-350)>24 hours
Fire stage (500-1000)>24 hours
The total baking time should be ensured to be more than 72 hours.
How to use the pouring material for molten iron ladle
1. Firstly, vibrate the molding package to form a low temperature. When adding materials, open the vibrating rod and vibrate while adding until the material is complete. Then, vibrate for 2-3 minutes until there is no large amount of foam on the surface until it is discharged. After pouring, about 2-8 hours, the material will be initially solidified, and a fetal membrane can be supported for wall construction.
2. During wall wrapping construction, multiple points should be uniformly added and vibration should be carried out while adding materials. When using a vibrating rod, it should be moved slowly along the circumference direction, and the entire package wall should be constructed continuously and completed in one go.
3. The vibrating rod should move slowly and not vibrate for a long time, nor should it cause deflection due to prolonged vibration. After construction is completed, the vibrating rod should be slowly pulled out, controlled to not leave any pits in the material after being pulled out.
