Application Of Aluminum Free Castable

The main materials selected for aluminum free castables are: super grade bauxite, brown corundum, α- Al2O3 micropowder, silica micropowder, pure calcium aluminate cement, admixture. Among them, the addition of pure calcium aluminate cement is 6%, which effectively reduces the demoulding time and improves the demoulding strength and room temperature strength. α- Al2O3 micropowder has high activity and reacts with SiO2 to form mullite. It works together with pure calcium aluminate cement to improve the high-temperature strength and reduce the porosity. The admixture reacts with the infiltrated molten aluminum to form a stable material and form a dense barrier layer, which effectively blocks the further erosion of molten aluminum and plays an anti permeability role. Therefore, the material has excellent aluminum water wettability and good corrosion resistance. The non stick aluminum castable has been used in a large aluminum plant for 300 tons. It has been used for masonry for 2 years, and the use effect is very good.
