The physical principle of high alumina brick(1)

Sep 25, 2021

High alumina bricks have high refractoriness, strong resistance to acid and alkaline slag erosion, and high temperature mechanical strength, so they are widely used in the metallurgical industry and other furnaces.

The mechanical properties of high alumina bricks refer to the mechanical properties such as the strength of the product under various conditions. This index characterizes the product’s ability to resist various stresses and deformations caused by external forces without being destroyed.

Whether it is at room temperature or under conditions of use, it will be deformed or even destroyed due to various external forces such as compression, stretching, bending, shearing, friction or impact. Examining the mechanical properties of it under different temperature conditions is extremely important for understanding its ability to resist damage, discussing its damage mechanism, and seeking ways and methods to improve product quality.

Compressive strength refers to the ultimate load that it can withstand per unit area without being destroyed at a certain temperature. The compressive strength of high alumina bricks is divided into normal temperature compressive strength and high temperature compressive strength. It is one of the important performance indicators to measure the quality of it, and indirectly reflects the structure of the product, such as density, uniformity and sintering.
