Generally speaking, in the kiln barrels of large SP and PC kilns, magnesia chrome bricks are directly combined for the firing zone, spinel bricks or magnesia chrome bricks that are easy to hang on the kiln skin and have good thermal shock resistance are used for the transition zone, high alumina bricks are used for the decomposition zone, heat-insulating alkali resistant clay bricks or ordinary clay bricks are used for the rear of the kiln barrel, and refractory castables or suitable refractory bricks are used for the front and rear kiln mouths.
